DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene released the following statement celebrating Labor Day and workers across the country:
"Today, we celebrate the important role of organized labor and workers everywhere who have built up the middle class. House Democrats are proud to stand in solidarity with organized labor, and are committed to building up an economy that works for all Americans - not just the wealthy and well connected.
"Last Congress with a Democratic majority, we passed historic legislation such as the Inflation Reduction Act, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law - all three creating good-paying, union jobs and improving the lives of working families.
"In stark contrast, House Republicans would undo these critical investments to help everyday families, undermine workers' rights, weaken collective bargaining, and eliminate jobs - all clearly outlined in their Project 2025 agenda.
"Workers across America know that Democrats are the only party fighting for them, and that's why they will entrust us with the majority in November - to stand up for workers and defend rights and freedoms for all Americans."
