The in-person information talk takes place at 11 am in the University's Main Building.
The Center for Continuing Studies will provide information about Universität Hamburg's Open Study Program on 27 February 2024. The Open Study Program welcomes people of all ages interested in learning. The information event will include talks about the courses and advice per telephone.

On Tuesday, 27 February 2024 at 11 am there will be an in-person informative talk in Lecture Hall C in Universität Hamburg's Main Building, Edmund-Siemers-Allee 1, 20146 Hamburg. No registration required.

At 2 pm, there will also be an online information session via Zoom. You can sign up for this talk on the Center for Continuing Education's homepage.

At the talks, you can find answers to questions about the Open Study Program: What is the Open Study Program? What's on offer? Who can join? How can I register? How much does the program cost?

You can ask questions immediately following the talks.

Additionally, prospective students can seek individual advice by telephone from 10 am to 4 pm at +49 40 42838-9705.

The Open Study Program gives inquisitive people of all ages a chance to continue with their learning at Universität Hamburg. They can choose the subject and attend lectures and seminars alongside regularly enrolled students. They can also choose the scope, content, and duration of their studies-for example, they can choose their favorite subject or combine lectures from various subjects. There is no examination or performance pressure. The Open Study Program is intended as a personal educational opportunity and does not award degrees.

In addition to faculty events, there is a fringe program organized exclusively for Open Study Program students. In Summer Semester 2024, there will be courses on political science, history, literature, media, art, culture, the geosciences, and biology. There will also be introductions to academic work and computer courses that help you organize your studies.

The overarching semester focus is "crises and conflicts," especially in courses that take a literary, historical, or cultural perspective.

In the upcoming summer semester, courses will take place in person and digitally.
