Calgary, Alta. (March 8, 2018) - The alpine team is in their homestretch of the season with the final races of the regular World Cup season underway this weekend.
The ladies are racing a giant slalom and slalom in Ofterschwang, GER this weekend. Erin Mielzynski is coming off an 11th-place finish at the Olympics, showing some exciting skiing. Laurence St-Germain had her Olympic debut after putting down some solid top-20 results on the World Cup circuit. She finished in 15th-place in the Olympic slalom, showing great consistency.
On the men's side, the team will be racing a downhill and a super-G in Kvitfjell, NOR where Canada has seen success in the past, including Erik Guay's third-place finish last year, Manuel Osborne-Paradis stepping on the podium in 2015 and 2009 and Dustin Cook with a third-place in 2015. Cook is coming off a ninth-place finish in the super-G at the Olympics. Ben Thomsen and Broderick Thompson will also race this weekend.
