Test Your Nature Knowledge in a Pub Quiz or Visit the University Museum - University Attractions Invite You to Explore on 12 June

On Helsinki Day 12 June, you can visit several visitor attractions of the University of Helsinki free of charge.

Spend the whole day at the University of Helsinki sites, alone or with the whole family. Visit the Kumpula Botanic Garden, the exhibitions in the Helsinki University Museum Flame, the guided art historical tour or join us for the nature-themed pub quiz at Think Corner! Vegan soup lunch and other delicacies are available all day at the Think Corner café.

Helsinki's birthday is traditionally marked on 12 June, when the city is packed with a wide range of free-of-charge events.

University of Helsinki events and visitor attractions open to all on Helsinki Day:

Think Corner (Yliopistonkatu 4)

8 am to 9.30 pm Café open

10 am to 2 pm Workshop: Introduction to University of Helsinki Research Stations

5.30-7 pm Helsinki Day Pub Quiz (in English)

Helsinki University Museum Flame (Fabianinkatu 33)

12-4 pm Free admission to the exhibitions Passion for Knowledge and Food for All

Guided art historical tour (starting point Senate Square, the statue of Alexander II)

5-6 pm The tour introduces visitors to the architecture and history of the main building of the University of Helsinki (in Finnish, no pre-registration required)

Kumpula Botanic Garden (Jyrängöntie 2)

11 am to 6 pm Free admission, guided tours

The congress is the world's largest event on sustainability research and innovation, bringing together 2000 researchers, students, business leaders, political decision-makers and experts interested in sustainable development to the City Centre campus of the University of Helsinki, the Aalto University campus in Otaniemi, and online.
