Culture Fest: A world of flavour, rhythm and colour

Get ready to immerse yourself in a vibrant celebration of multiculturalism as City of Palmerston hosts Culture Fest on Saturday 20 April from 5pm to 8:30pm at Goyder Square and Frances Drive.

This free event invites everyone to experience the fusion of food, music, and dance from around the globe.
Highlights of the evening include performances that span from a range of cultures including:

  • Khaleeji dance, a traditional Persian Gulf folk dance.
  • Children's dance group from Sam's Dance Studio.
  • Hip Hop presented by PHL the Beat.
  • Opa Greek dance performance
  • Traditional Bangladesh dance presented by Puja and Cultural Association of NT
  • Swing dance.
  • Bachata dance from Bailamos.
  • Traditional dance performed by Nepalese Association NT
  • Peruvian dance
  • Traditional Balinese dance
  • Vietnamese songs.
  • African dance

In addition to the captivating performances, attendees can enjoy a diverse array of culinary delights, including Nepalese cuisine, Spanish chorizo rolls, American hot dogs, outback burgers, banh mi, and the Red Cross Women's Collective will have a range of cultural desserts.

Our community is home to people from all corners of the globe, and this is a great opportunity to sing, dance, eat, and experience the many different cultures we have in our city" said City of Palmerston's Deputy Mayor Ben Giesecke.
