Chinese state councilor meets Cape Verdean interior administration minister

BEIJING, April 27 -- Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong met with Paulo Rocha, the Interior Administration Minister of Cape Verde, on Friday in Beijing.

Wang said that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, bilateral relations have been developing smoothly with fruitful cooperation in various fields. China is ready to work with Cape Verde to strengthen cooperation on law enforcement at all levels, strengthen Belt and Road cooperation in security field, combat transnational crimes, and protect the security of each other's citizens, institutions and projects.

China is willing to safeguard the common interests of the two countries, and develop China-Cape Verde, China-Africa relations to higher level, Wang said.

Paulo Rocha said Cape Verde is willing to further deepen law enforcement and security cooperation with China.
