VALLEY CENTER - The City of Valley Center is in discussions with a local company to develop the first 3D-printed community of homes in the State of Kansas.

This would be the first 3D-printed home community in the State of Kansas and one of only a handful in the nation.

The City is learning about new options for 3D-printed homes from CC3D. CC3D, a startup arm of Crain Company, is a forward-thinking Kansas company leading the way by developing and implementing innovative building methods. CC3D was developed to provide high-quality, affordable, and sustainable housing through creatively designed, efficiently built 3D-printed homes.

The site (pictured left) of the potential 3D-printed home community will be in a new subdivision along Ford Street and Dexter Ave with the project potentially beginning construction yet this year.

CC3D plans to use designs from local architects and finish work from local contractors for the innovative project.
