Political consultations between Uzbekistan and Russia took place in Tashkent

On April 26, 2024, Tashkent hosted political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation.

The delegations of the parties were headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Babur Usmanov and Deputy Foreign Minister Russia Mikhail Galuzin.

A thorough exchange of views took place on the current issues of Uzbekistan-Russia relations of strategic partnership and alliance in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.

The sides reviewed the progress in the implementation of previously reached agreements and the schedule of upcoming joint events at various levels.

The commitment of Uzbekistan and Russia to continue the dialogue within the framework of international and regional institutions was noted.

Other issues on the bilateral agenda were also discussed at the meeting.
