The Sumer Eugene Rec Guide is here

The City of Eugene Recreation Guide has dropped online and in print, and it's the largest publication the division has created.

At 146 pages (40 translated into Spanish) and packed with summer camps, fun classes, trips and gatherings, the Rec Guide provides the community with ample opportunities to find something to enjoy. You'll find sailing, ballet, pickleball, water volleyball, biking, a huge lineup of trips and more. Summer is meant for getting out, playing and relaxing. Whether that's at one of Rec's three pools, at a community center or a sunny patch of grass, you'll find something to fill your bucket during the sunniest time of year.

The printed edition of the Rec Guide was delivered to local businesses and community centers April 15, but you can find a digital copy at GetRec.org/recguide to start planning your summer.

It's also a good reminder before registration day May 2 to make sure you're ready to register so you can skip the lines.

  • If you have registered with Eugene Rec before, make sure you have your login information.
  • Not sure if you have an account? Visit the online registration system and click "Log In/Create Account," then select "Log In with Email" and select "Forgot Password." If you have an account, your login information will be emailed to you.
  • Need to create an account? Visit the online registration and click "Login In/Create Account" then select "Create Your Eugene Rec Account."

In alignment with the City's strategic focus on creating a culture of belonging and providing equitable access to resources and opportunities, another exciting addition to Eugene Rec's ongoing efforts to make registration more accessible is the implementation of a lottery system for select programs. With a first-come, first-served system, spots in our most popular camps and classes are gone within minutes, requiring patrons to have a speedy internet connection and a flexible schedule.

Our lottery system is new and we're rolling it out slowly so we can ensure things run smoothly and that the system is indeed accessible for all. As we continue to make tweaks and improvements, watch for the lottery system to expand.

Our goal is to create a system that streamlines the registration process, provides adequate time for patrons to consider and sign up for the lottery and provides everyone with an equal and fair opportunity to participate in our programs.

The summer lottery opened April 15 and closes at 11:59 p.m. April 19, allowing patrons to enter their name into any number of our lottery programs. Adaptive listings will close at 11:59 p.m. May 5. At that time, the system will randomly select participants from those who have signed up for the lottery.

You can find more information at GetRec.org/lottery.
