Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan Presidents discuss current issues of bilateral and regional agenda

On May 17, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The President of Uzbekistan cordially congratulated the President of Kazakhstan on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, well-being and success, peace and prosperity to the fraternal country.

The dynamic development of friendship, good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was noted with great satisfaction.

The trade turnover has been growing steadily since the beginning of the year. Passenger railway communication between the two countries has recently been resumed.

The practical results of the talks held on the eve of the government delegations of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were highly appreciated. The importance of accelerating the preparation and implementation of cooperation projects was noted.

The Leaders of the two countries also exchanged views on the current issues on the international agenda and the expansion of regional interaction.
