September Has Three Excise Tax Return Periods

If you are an alcohol or tobacco excise taxpayer who files semi-monthly returns, don't forget that there is an extra return period in September.

If you are required to pay your taxes by electronic funds transfer (EFT), please pay close attention to the last two September filings - your return periods are slightly different than non-EFT filers and you have one extra day to file one return.

If you are not required to pay by EFT, please note that this year the due date for serial number 18 is one day before the due date for serial number 17.
