In the Sea of Japan, the newest diesel-electric submarine Volkhov of the Pacific Fleet launched a cruise missile of the Caliber complex from a submerged position at a ground target. Before combat exercise, the submariners made a covert exit to the designated area.

At the estimated time, the missile hit a coastal target at the Surkum tactical field located in the Khabarovsk Territory. The firing range was more than 1,000 km.

Missile firing was provided by ships and vessels of the Pacific Fleet, aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles of the naval aviation of the Pacific Fleet.
