Volunteers needed for summer and after-school learning workgroup

The Oregon Department of Education is putting together a workgroup to help shape summer and after-school learning opportunities.

House Bill 4082 (2024) established the Oregon 21st Century Community Learning Center Initiative Workgroup. The workgroup, which will have at least one school board representative, must report to the Legislature by Sept. 15 but could meet through December.

Applications to join the group must be submitted online by April 30. ODE sent an email Wednesday with more details about the group's requirements, including attending several all-day meetings.
