Security Agreement with Spain: Ukraine Held a New Round of Negotiations

The Ukrainian side held a new round of negotiations with Spain on a bilateral security agreement in furtherance of the G7 Joint Declaration of support for our country.

According to the President's decree, the official delegation of Ukraine is headed by the Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak. Today's round of talks was chaired by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva.

The parties continued to work on the draft document and enhanced its key provisions.

"I am glad to note that the agreement with Spain will have a number of specific aspects in comparison with other similar agreements, in particular with regard to Spain's close relations with the countries of the Mediterranean region, Latin America and Africa," said Ihor Zhovkva.

The delegations agreed on a schedule of negotiations and upcoming events at the highest level aimed at signing the agreement.
