Media Alert: Select Committees to Visit R31 to Assess Ongoing Repair Work

Parliament, Thursday, 18 August 2021 - The Select Committee (SC) on Trade and Industry, Economic Development, Small Business Development, Tourism, Employment and Labour as well as the Select Committee on Transport, Public Service and Administration and Public Works and Infrastructure will tomorrow conclude an oversight visit to the Northern Cape with a visit to the R31 road. The committees raised concerns about the state of the road and its impact on economic recovery. The committee will assess the repair work being done on the road.

The committees will also visit the Northern Cape High Court, which is currently being renovated.
