Recap of SNF QRP: Achieving a Full APU Webinar

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) presented a "Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Quality Reporting Program (QRP): Achieving a Full APU" webinar on March 26. The webinar reviewed updates to the SNF QRP, data submission requirements and deadlines, reports that can be run in iQIES to assist providers in identifying issues that may prevent a full annual payment update (APU), and how and when to request reconsideration.

Providers will find the review of reporting deadlines and iQIES reports particularly helpful. Generally, data for MDS-based measures and the COVID-19 vaccination data reported through the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) are due four to five months after the end of the quarter. The reports providers should be reviewing in iQIES to identify any potential issues include:

• Final Validation Report
• Review and Correct Report
• Provider Threshold Report
• Provider Preview Report
