Childcare economy in Lebanon
The National Commission for Lebanese Women (NCLW), in partnership with ESCWA, UN Women, the World Bankand the Arab Institute for Womenat the Lebanese American University organized on 22 and 23 June a national multi-stakeholder dialogue on childcare economy in Lebanon.
Participants worked on developing a national strategic framework to support women's economic empowerment and childcare economy. ESCWA stressed that coordination among various stakeholders was essential to strengthen the sector and push it forward.
It also underscored that advancing childcare in the public sector and making it accessible to everyone across the country was key to helping families in need and reinforcing human capital.
