Senate Judiciary Committee Advances Ten Nominations to the Full Senate

WASHINGTON - Today, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee advanced ten nominations to the full Senate, continuing the Committee's work to bring balance to the federal judiciary. The nominations advanced include five judicial nominees, two nominees to the U.S. Sentencing Commission, two U.S. Attorney nominees, and one U.S. Marshal nominee.

"As we have since Senate Democrats took back the majority in 2021, we're moving forward with strength to confirm highly qualified, diverse judicial nominees. Now, we've reported 210 lifetime judicial nominees to the full Senate, where we've confirmed 193. Our justice system is stronger when it's reflective of America, and I'll continue encouraging my Republican and Democratic colleagues to engage with the White House to identify and advance nominees to lifetime posts on the federal bench," said U.S. Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL), Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Following today's meeting, the Senate Judiciary Committee has reported 210 Article III judges to the full Senate - and the Senate has confirmed 193 judges to lifetime appointments on the federal bench - under the leadership of Chair Durbin.
