Fire and Rescue NSW has located a body in the ruins of a unit, destroyed by fire in south west Sydney earlier today.
Crews were called to a two-storey unit block in Wilkins Street, Yagoona just before 11am following reports of a blaze.
More than 20 firefighters and six fire trucks were deployed to the scene, with the fire on the ground floor contained and extinguished in approximately 30 minutes.
The body of a man was located in the property and three people were treated on scene for smoke inhalation by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
The rear of the unit was destroyed by the fire.
NSW Police has established a crime scene and FRNSW's Fire Investigation and Research Unit (FIRU) is working to determine the cause of the fire.
