IIT Bombay Celebrates Birth Anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri

IIT Bombay paid homage to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and second Prime Minister of the nation Lal Bahadur Shastri during a function held at 9 am at P.C. Saxena Auditorium on October 2.

IIT Bombay functionaries including Deputy Director (Academic and Infrastructural Affairs) Prof. S. Sudarshan, Deputy Director (Finance and External Affairs) Prof. KVK Rao, Dean (Infrastructure Planning & Support) Prof. Tom V. Mathew, Associate Dean-III (IPS) Prof. Anurag Garg, Dean (Student Affairs) Prof. Suryanarayana Doolla, Associate Dean (Student Affairs) Prof. Atul Srivastava, Registrar Mr. Ganesh Bhorkade and other dignitaries lighted the lamp and paid floral tributes to Gandhiji and Shastriji during the function.

The Institute community present on the occasion took the Swachhata pledge. Appreciation certificates for various competitions held as part of Swachhata Pakhwada 2023 were distributed to students of Campus School, Kendriya Vidyalaya and IIT Bombay.

The faculty, staff and students of IIT Bombay enthralled the audience with musical performances on the occasion.
