2023/2024 May Revise - Summary
Governor Newsom released the May Revise on Friday, May 12, 2023.
Despite the enormous deficit, there were no cuts to the developmental disabilities service system. In some cases, new increased spending is proposed including proposal to adjust service provider rates for Independent Living Services (ILS), continue the Coordinated Family Services program pilot through June 2024, and the suspension of the Annual Family Program Fee and Family Cost Participation Programs through December 31, 2023. Both the Assembly and Senate held their first set of hearings on the May Revise proposals on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. No actions were taken on either side on the developmental disabilities item, as most items were held open. This provides opportunity for negotiations.
