AMA members are invited to nominate for election to the AMA's peak policy setting body - Federal Council.
Nominations for election to the AMA Federal Council are now open.
The Federal Council is the AMA's peak policy setting body and it is a great opportunity for members to help shape and influence AMA policy.
Information on Federal Council and its current membership can be found here.
AMA Federal Councillors serve for two-year terms, and may serve a maximum of three terms (or six years in total).
AMA members may nominate for election in the following categories:

The Federal AMA has a target of 40 per cent women, 40 per cent men, and 20 per cent flexible for all AMA councils, committees and boards. A target of women holding 50 per cent of AMA elected positions has been set. Nominations reflecting the diversity of the membership and that assist in achieving AMA gender balance targets are encouraged.
Nominations close at 5pm AEST on 31 May 2024.
