Memorial Day Military Appreciation Banners and Pavers Applications Due by April 17
The City of Moreno Valley encourages residents to submit applications for Military Appreciation Banners and Pavers by April 17th.
The City installs Military Appreciation Banners and Pavers in support of local military personnel and their families. The program also helps promote patriotism and pride throughout our community while recognizing men and women who have served in the past or are currently serving.
"The City of Moreno Valley's Military Appreciation Banner program is a great way for friends, family, and fellow servicemen to pay tribute to those who have so selflessly served our country, or those who continue to serve," said Moreno Valley Mayor Ulises Cabrera. "I am proud to see the program continue to grow year after year."
The cost to purchase a Military Appreciation Banner to be designed and installed on City street light poles is $200. The nominee must currently serve in the US military. Banners will be displayed at selected locations on Frederick Street, Cactus Avenue, and Alessandro Boulevard.
The Veteran's Military Program Pavers are located around the Memorial at the Civic Center and are inscribed with the names of military veterans and active-duty service personnel and the branch of service. The nominee must currently serve, or have served, in the US military. Similar to the banners, the cost per paver is $200.
