Overnight Lane Closures on I-20 at the Georgia-South Carolina State Line

Overnight Lane Closures Planned for the I-20 at Savannah River Bridge Project
AUGUSTA - Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) construction partners will implement an overnight lane closure as part of the I-20 at Savannah River Bridge project to allow crews to perform asphalt repair work.

Thursday, March 28, 10 p.m. until Friday, March 29, 7 a.m.
  • Alternating single-lane closure on I-20 eastbound from mile marker (MM) 200 in Georgia to MM 0.5 in South Carolina.
    • Right-lane closure approximately 10 p.m. until 1 a.m., followed by a left-lane closure from 1 a.m. until 7 a.m.

Thursday, March 28, 2 a.m. until Friday, March 29, 7 a.m.
  • Single-left lane closure on I-20 westbound from MM 0.5 in South Carolina to MM 200 in Georgia

During this time, the shoulders of I-20 eastbound and westbound may also be impacted. Motorists are advised to expect delays and drive with caution through the work zone.
