The QU Alumni Association Organizes a Joint Meeting for Arab Toastmasters Clubs for the Years 2023 - 2024

In collaboration with Sector 116 of the Arab Clubs in Toastmasters International,

Qatar University (QU) Alumni Association organized a joint meeting for Arab clubs for the year 2023-2024 as part of the collaboration between Sector 116 of the Arab Clubs in Toastmasters International in Qatar and the Toastmasters chapter of the QU Alumni Association. The meeting witnessed widespread participation from the leaders and members of Arab Toastmasters Clubs and those interested in the field of public speaking. The meeting featured diverse segments, including prepared speeches, impromptu speeches, evaluation sessions, and interactive activities with the audience.

In a statement on this occasion, Mrs. Fatima Al-Zahiri, Head of Arab Clubs Affairs, said, "The Arab clubs in Qatar are rich with a large number of eloquent members and influential leaders. This meeting is part of the Arab Clubs Affairs' plan aimed at gathering experiences and exchanging knowledge under one roof for the benefit of all." Al Zahiri emphasized that the meeting provided guests from outside Toastmasters the opportunity to experience public speaking and practical communication, contributing to enhancing their skills and directing their impact through their words.

On her part, Mrs. Lubaba Youssef, President of the Toastmasters chapter of the QU Alumni Association, said, "The Toastmasters chapter of the QU Alumni Association is keen on collaboration with various entities to achieve common goals, including collaboration with Arab Toastmasters Clubs in Qatar in this joint meeting, whether through logistical support or participant gifts." Mrs. Lubaba emphasized the importance of seizing such opportunities and the active participation of multiple chapter members in various leadership roles at the event, allowing them to develop their skills further.

It is worth noting that the Toastmasters chapter of the QU Alumni Association is the largest Arab club in Toastmasters International in Sector 116. The club comprises active and inspiring members totaling over 40 graduates of QU. The chapter offers members diverse speeches and roles in clubs, including Sergeant at Arms, Timer, Grammarian, General Evaluator, and other leadership roles. This continuous training environment serves as a source of inspiration for members, where they benefit from the exchange of knowledge and experiences, continuously developing their skills."
