Portion of I-369 scheduled for resurfacing

A portion of I-369 in Texarkana is scheduled for resurfacing soon, according to plans awarded in February by the Texas Department of Transportation.

This project will include the resurfacing of about three and a half miles of I-369. "Work will take place from US Highway 59 to Interstate 30," said Texarkana Area Engineer Tommy Bruce. "A lot of this work will take place at night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. to minimize the impact to the traveling public."

East Texas Bridge of Longview was awarded the contract with a bid of $10,246,641.

Weather permitting, work should begin in May and take about six months to complete.
