CALC (1848.HK) Celebrates 10 Years of Partnership with Airbus

Toulouse, France, 28 Nov 2023 - China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited ("CALC" or the "Company", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group"; SEHK stock code: 01848), a full value chain aircraft solutions provider for the global aviation industry, is delighted to celebrate over 10 years in partnership with our long-term partner Airbus in Toulouse, France.

During the past decade, CALC became the first Chinese lessor to have a direct bulk order for 100 A320s with Airbus. We introduced Airbus fleet to China's start-up airlines, assisting Chinese regional carriers in fleet planning with our full value chain business deployment. We worked together tapping into the booming China market where commercial fleet doubled to over 4,000 aircraft currently and is on its path to become the world's largest aviation market with over 9,000 estimated new deliveries in the next 20 years. We're honored to grow together with Airbus and witness Airbus running ahead and becoming market leader in commercial aircraft. To date, our cumulative orders stand at 252 Airbus aircraft, making CALC the 6th largest lessor customer for Airbus, a remarkable achievement underpinned by our decade-long strategic partnership.

"10 years ago in 2013, we delivered our first aircraft to CALC - an A319ceo, and we are about to deliver the 136th aircraft - an A320neo for Air India. As we celebrate this 10th anniversary, we cast our sights to the future with a further 116 A320neo family aircraft to deliver," said Sinead Cormican, Head of Leasing, Airbus.

Starting with the first order of 36 A320ceo family aircraft in July 2012, CALC began its rapid fleet growth and soon added another bulk order of 100 A320ceo family aircraft in 2014 which marks one of the largest orders of Airbus of the year. To support the evolving needs, CALC placed another two bulk orders for A320neo family and 40 A321neo aircraft in 2018 and 2020 respectively. By now, CALC and Airbus worked side by side and delivered 135 aircraft to CALC's airline customers worldwide, making CALC's fleet grow 6.5 times during the past decade.

In the coming days, CALC's Airbus fleet size will reach 160 aircraft, including the A320 family and A330. In the coming years, CALC and Airbus will continue to work together and bringing another 116 most in-demand modern technology aircraft to the market in demand. Riding on our strengths of aircraft full-value-chain operation, CALC is looking to play a crucial role in promoting a sustainable aviation together with Airbus.
