An event was organized on 3rd February 2023 by the Embassy of Pakistan, Tokyo to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day. Pakistani community members and Kashmiris as well as Japanese people attended the event. Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Convener All Parties Hurriyat Conference joined the event virtually. The Ambassador-designate highlighted the continuous atrocities being committed by Indian occupation forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He expressed Pakistan's full support for the Kashmir cause. Earlier in the day, the members of the Pakistani community and Kashmiris, with banners and placards in hands, held protests in front of the United Nations Office and Indian Embassy in Tokyo. A photographic exhibition was also organized at the Chancery. The Embassy had already held an interactive session with Japanese electronic, print and social media journalists on 1st February 2023 to highlight the situation in IIOJK. The Pakistani community and Kashmiris based in Japan also staged a peaceful demonstration/vigil at the famous Shibuya crossing in Tokyo in the morning of 5th February 2023 to express solidarity with their Kashmiri brethren.
