CORRECTION Interstate 70 Dwight D. Eisenhower Highway Speers/Belle Vernon Bridge Lane Restriction Active in Washington County

Uniontown, PA - Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that repair work is currently underway on Interstate 70 (Dwight D. Eisenhower Highway)'s Speers/Belle Vernon Bridge in Speers Borough, Washington County.

A short-term single-lane restriction is in place until 3:00 PM today, Monday, March 11, on eastbound Interstate 70 between the Speers exit (Exit 39) and the Belle Vernon/Monessen exit (Exit 41) to repair the existing tooth dam.

Work may continue tomorrow, Tuesday(previously reported as Wednesday), March 12, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM depending on weather and operations, and is part of a $1.3 million bridge preservation project conducted by Mekis Construction Corporation.
