Wednesday, April 17 | 7:30 p.m. | Roland Dille Center for the Arts Gaede Stage

Reproductive justice activists Merle Hoffman and Jennifer Baumgardner will talk about "Choices: A Post Roe Manifesto Conversation" at Minnesota State University Moorhead on Wednesday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts Gaede Stage.

Merle Hoffman

Hoffman is an internationally known leader in the struggle for women's rights, a healthcare pioneer, founder of women's health, political, and reproductive rights organizations, and a prize-winning writer and publisher. Her work spans 52 years and continues today, proving to be more essential and relevant than ever in the ongoing fight for women's human rights, including the ability to make their own reproductive choices.

Jennifer Baumgardner

Journalist and author Baumgardner is the founder of the Dottir Press, which she established in 2017 on the heels of her tenure as executive director of the Feminist Press. Dottir Press takes a feminist approach to publishing and artistic production, working to fill the absences in both our history and present culture through storytelling in all forms and for all ages. She has been described by The New York Times as being "at the forefront of the reproductive rights movement as an activist and founder and president of Choices Women's Medical Center, one of the first abortion clinics in the country."

The talk is free and open to the public. MSUM values diverse perspectives and encourages listening to all viewpoints with empathy and respect.

MSUM is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible event. If you need a reasonable accommodation, please contact Chuck Eade at [email protected]. You will be contacted individually to discuss your request.
