Lakewood is again on the lookout for our best, brightest and most inspiring in the city for the 2024 Mayor's Inspiration Award. This important community award highlights contributions in engagement, collaboration, inclusiveness, diversity, innovation and community impact.

Nominations can be submitted online atLakewood.org/MayorsAwardsand will be accepted through July 15.Watch this videoor visit the website to learn more and view previous winners.

Multiple awards can be given in each of the following categories:

• Youth: any individual under the age of 18 or group all under the age of 18.
• Individual: any individual age 18 or older.
• Community organization: any association, service organization, nonprofit, team or group.
• Business: any business or for-profit company.

Mayor Wendi Strom and City Council eagerly look forward to hearing about all the good work being done by our community members. Winners will be selected by a committee made up of city staff and residents and recognized at a City Council meeting this fall.

The Lakewood Advisory Commission, which consists of residents who advise City Council on issues important to Lakewood, recommended the creation of the award as a way to recognize those having a significant impact in the community.
