APRHAI provides practical and scientific advice to government departments in support of the fulfilment of its vision for antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in 2040. The scope is to reduce the incidence of healthcare associated infections (HAI) and effectively control, contain, and mitigate AMR and optimise antimicrobial use (AMU) in humans.
As a member of APRHAI you will work as part of a sub-group to provide expert advice on infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance within a clinical setting and you will also operate within the committee's remit and adhere to the Seven Principles of Public Life as they apply to the service on APRHAI.

In addition, you must have an outstanding record of achievement with excellent communication skills, while having practical experience of implementing interventions to improve the quality and safety of healthcare and clinical expertise within the field of infectious diseases.
The term of appointment will be 3 years.
