On April 24, 2024, State Police of Clifton Park arrested Tara M. Mariano, 38, of Duanesburg, NY, for Assault in the second degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree.

On April 24, 2024, at about 2:06 p.m., Troopers responded to the area of Plank Road in Clifton Park, NY, for the report of a dispute. The investigation determined Mariano reportedly was in a dispute with the victim in a vehicle. During the argument, she displayed and injured the victim with a boxcutter. The victim sustained minor injuries and fled the vehicle.

Mariano was located driving the vehicle on Clifton County Road, stopped, and taken into custody. She was transported to SP Clifton Park for processing. Mariano was arraigned at the Clifton Park Town Court and released on her own recognizance.
