Brown Rudnick Receives Two Nominations for The Lawyer Awards 2024

Brown Rudnick has been shortlisted in two categories for The Lawyer Awards 2024.

The Firm was nominated for "Finance Team of the Year" for handling one of the largest real estate financings of 2023 and "Corporate Team of the Year" for advising on a complex equity financing.

The Lawyer Awards recognize and celebrate the outstanding work of lawyers, law firms and in-house lawyers across Europe. Winners will be announced at a ceremony on June 18, 2024, at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.

In November, the Firm's Special Situations & Trading team advised London-based private equity firm Queensgate Investments on a nearly $800 million global refinancing of Generator Hostels, a lifestyle hospitality platform which owns, operates and develops assets across Europe and North America. Brown Rudnick assisted Queensgate with the arrangement and structuring of the global financing, as well as the legal execution.

Tuvi Keinan led the deal team, which included partner Eleni Zodiates, counsel Tristan Dollie, and associates Jonty Browne and Thea Dodwell in London as well as finance partner Jonathan Nye in Boston. In addition, from the Corporate practice in London, partner Tom Braiden, and associates Toby Plowman, Stephen Wallace and Jennifer Morris Hernandez also provided support, along with tax partner Tracy Fisher.

In July, a Brown Rudnick Corporate team advised software and cloud computing company WANdisco, now Cirata, in a new round of equity financing that raised $30 million. The fundraise followed one of the most significant frauds suffered by a public company in recent times and the largest one trading on London's Alternative Investment Market since the accounting fraud at Patisserie Valerie in 2018.

Partner Lena Hodge led the team, which also included partner Philip Flink, associates Nick Davies, Plowman and Browne.
