Students of all ages from throughout Fresno Unified will showcase their creativity at IdeaFest 2024, with a theme this year of "Fresno, My Home…Celebrate, Advocate, Elevate." Through art, poetry, music, storytelling and other avenues students explore what it means to live in Fresno. IdeaFest fosters student creativity and critical thinking skills while encouraging students to connect more deeply with their community.

IdeaFest will feature multicultural music and dance performances, including the Fresno Unified honor band performing an original song written for IdeaFest. Winners of student poetry and art competitions will also be announced. The keynote speaker is Ty Allen Jackson, an award-winning children's book author, youth motivational speaker and literacy advocate who lives in Fresno. (Jackson will speak at approximately 10:20 a.m.)

"IdeaFest is a unique interdisciplinary celebration that involves students of all ages from across the district. This year, students are showcasing what their home, Fresno, means to them through a variety of creative projects. We are all at our best when we recognize the beauty of the city in which we live," said Superintendent Bob Nelson.
