Elizabeth Bridge Northbound Route 51 Ramp to Northbound Route 837 Closure Wednesday Night in West Elizabeth

Pittsburgh, PA - PennDOT District 11 is announcing the closure of the northbound Route 51 ramp from the Elizabeth Bridge to northbound Route 837 in West Elizabeth Borough, Allegheny County, will occur Wednesday night, May 1 weather permitting.

The ramp that carries traffic from northbound Route 51 on the Elizabeth Bridge to northbound Route 837 will close to traffic from 10 p.m. Wednesday night to 2 a.m. Thursday morning. Crews from Green Acres Contracting will conduct bridge washing activities. All ramp traffic will be detoured.

• Motorists will continue on northbound Route 51 past the closed ramp

• Take the left-hand ramp to southbound Route 51 toward Elizabeth

• From southbound Route 51 take the left-hand ramp to northbound Route 837 toward Clairton

• End detour

• Trucks will continue on northbound Route 51 past the closed ramp

• Take the ramp to Ridge Road/Clairton

• Turn left onto Ridge Road

• Take the ramp to southbound Route 51

• From southbound Route 51 take the left-hand ramp to northbound Route 837 toward Clairton

• End detour
