Davidson recognized with Ferguson College of Agriculture Alumni Early Career Achievement Award

Jered Davidson of Edmond, Oklahoma, is a recipient of the Oklahoma State University Ferguson College of Agriculture 2024 Alumni Early Career Achievement Award. The Ferguson College Alumni Society Board recognized Davidson for his achievements at the annual Scholarships and Awards Banquet on April 4.

Davidson earned a degree in agricultural economics in 2009 from the Ferguson College. As a student, he served as a teaching assistant in the Department of Agricultural Economics and was a member of the Aggie-X Club and the Homecoming Steering Committee. He was also a Harry S. Truman Scholar National Finalist and the 2009 Paul and Mary Hummer Outstanding Graduate of the Ferguson College of Agriculture.

"I would put the education I received in the Ferguson College up against any other institution in the country," Davidson said. "Not only did it prepare me for the technical aspects of my career, it also taught me the value of collaboration and persistence, which pays dividends every day when trying to provide solutions for my clients."

Davidson continued his education at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, earning a juris doctorate and joining The Public Finance Law Group PLLC in 2012. He now represents clients in Oklahoma cities, municipalities, rural water districts, public trusts, colleges and universities, and Native American tribes. He was named to the National Order of Barristers in 2015.

"Jered's work as a young professional and his support of OSU Agriculture is admirable," said Justin Anderson, president of the Ferguson College of Agriculture Alumni Society. "We are proud to have alumni like him who continue to give back and support the future of the college, and we congratulate him on receiving this award."

Davidson has strong ties to Oklahoma 4-H. He recently concluded 10 years as a member of the Oklahoma 4-H Foundation Board of Directors and served a term as president of the board. He and his wife, Lindsey, are committed to supporting the Ferguson College and are among the youngest major gift donors to the New Frontiers capital campaign.

"I firmly believe in leaving things in better condition than I found them," Davidson said. "Support of the Ferguson College is imperative to provide future generations of Cowboys with more opportunities than I had."
