Garland Animal Services Celebrates Shelter Anniversary, Operation Kindness Partnership

Garland Animal Services will celebrate the second anniversary of the Garland Animal Shelter & Adoption Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13.

Please join us for our Grand Bonanza at our beautiful facility at 1902 State Highway 66. The Grand Bonanza event will feature:

• Pet adoptions
• Pet friendly vendors
• Food trucks
• Kids' activities
• Raffle prizes
• Low-cost vaccine clinic
• Free microchips for the first 100 pets

While we take a single day to celebrate the Garland Animal Shelter & Adoption Center, good things are happening there every day. Recently, Animal Services teamed up with Operation Kindness to perform over 50 surgeries and 47 evaluations for shelter pets.

Together, the partners worked tirelessly to bring hope and healing to countless shelter pets in need. The team at Operation Kindness was dedicated to providing high-quality care to every animal that came through Garland's doors. From routine surgeries to complex medical procedures, Operation Kindness offered expertise to make sure each furry friend had the best chance at a happy, healthy life.

In return, the Garland Animal Shelter opened its doors and their staff's hearts to Operation Kindness, allowing use of Garland's state-of-the-art surgical suite to perform surgeries for animals in need from surrounding cities like Balch Springs and Rowlett.
