Chairman of Committee on Health, Family, Labor and Social Affairs, AK Party Erzurum Deputy, Recep Akdağ, met with Indonesian House of Representatives Delegation, 9th Committee Chairman Felly Estelita and the accompanying delegation.

Chairman Akdağ, in his speech at the meeting, said that they see Indonesia as important in terms of regional and global prosperity and peace. Reminding that Türkiye was subjected to a heavy coup attempt in 2016 and 251 Turkish citizens were martyred in one night, Akdağ said, "FETO is an interesting organization. For 35 years, they have disguised themselves as an Islamic community. Their behaviors, known as 'takıyye', are very dominant, just like the Hashashis in ancient times."<_o3a_p>

Chairman Estelita said that they, as a commission, would like to benefit from the experiences and studies, especially in the fields of employment and development, carried out by Türkiye. Emphasizing that they want to continue and develop the cooperation between Türkiye and Indonesia, Estelita added, "Indonesia, which has a population of 275 million and a workforce of 143 million, needs international cooperation to turn its wheels."<_o3a_p>

Besides, the Secretary General of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Mehmet Ali Kumbuzoğlu, received the delegation consisting of the high-level officials from the Secretariat General of the Indonesian House of Representatives. Speaking to his audience, Kumbuzoğlu said that the relations between Türkiye and Indonesia are of historical nature and that the diplomatic relations between the two countries continue at the highest level. Emphasizing that Indonesia and Türkiye support each other in bilateral relations, Kumbuzoğlu drew attention to the importance of realizing this cooperation in the international arena.
