NYC PARKS ISSUES REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR SIX PUBLIC GOLF COURSES

NYC Parks announced today that a Request for Proposals ("RFP") has been issued for the renovation, operation, and maintenance of the following golf courses:

  • Pelham/Split Rock Golf Courses in the Bronx;
  • Dyker Beach Golf Course in Brooklyn;
  • Clearview Golf Course in Queens;
  • Douglaston Golf Course in Queens;
  • LaTourette Golf Course on Staten Island;
  • South Shore Golf Course on Staten Island.

Parks is seeking separate proposals from potential operators for the above-named golf courses, whose existing license agreements will expire in January of 2024. Parks is seeking concessionaires for one (1) 20-year term for each golf course.

"Golf is in an inter-generational sport that brings together people of all ages and abilities, and NYC Parks is proud to be home to 13 golf courses citywide," said NYC Parks Commissioner Sue Donoghue. "To continue offering New Yorkers great places to tee off, Parks is currently seeking proposals for six courses located in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. We encourage operators to consider the use of sustainable practices in their plans to ensure that our golf courses remain green in every way."

Parks is seeking proposers who can demonstrate substantial experience in the operation and maintenance of golf courses and high-quality restaurant/catering facilities, with sufficient experience and financial capability to renovate, operate and maintain the facilities at the highest level to draw visitors from all over the country, with concepts of sustainable integrated design throughout.

All proposals in response to this RFP must be submitted no later than April 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.

The RFP is available for download on Parks' website. To download the RFP, visit www.nyc.gov/parks/businessopportunities and, after logging in, click on the "download" link that appears adjacent to the RFP's description.
