Walking path at Harvey Dee Mathis Park to undergo repairs and renovation

The walking path at Harvey Dee Mathis Park on Florida Avenue will be closed for repairs and renovations on April 3 - 7. These renovations will improve the overall safety and accessibility for everyone visiting the park. The playground will remain open during this time.

The installation of a new outdoor exercise pad is also underway. The pad will have machines for cardio, strength training, and flexibility exercises as well as offer citizensa place to enjoy the fresh air of the park while working out. Completion of the pad is anticipated by the end of the summer.Once completed, H.D. Mathis Park will feature the updated path, new exercise machines, and water fountains, along with updated stormwater management and landscaping, making it an even more enjoyable place to spend your day outdoors.
