PM RABUKA VISITS FLOOD-AFFECTED AREAS IN THE...

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka visited flood-affected areas in the Central Division today to assess damage caused by heavy rains and flooding experienced throughout the country over the past few days.

Accompanied by a team of senior government officials, PM Rabuka inspected affected areas including Waidamudamu, Dilkusha, and Nausori Village to witness firsthand the extent of the devastation.

During his visit, the Prime Minister interacted with residents affected by the rain and floods, listening to their concerns in the wake of the bad weather.

He also held discussions with local authorities and emergency response teams to streamline relief operations and prioritize the allocation of resources to where they are most needed.

PM Rabuka emphasized the importance of collective actions to mitigate the impacts of the floods and restore normalcy to affected areas.

At the same time, the Head of the Coalition Government extended his gratitude to frontline responders, volunteers, and organizations involved in relief efforts.

In a short presentation, Commissioner Central Division Mr. Josefo Navuku informed the Prime Minister that initial damage assessments have been conducted with areas identified for "quick fixes".

Prime Minister Rabuka reassured those affected that the Coalition Government stands ready to provide them with necessary assistance and support.
