Unlocking the Secrets of Beef Quality and Yield: G&Y Seminar on March 21st

This Old Farm will host a seminar for both beginning and seasoned farmers engaged in direct marketing beef.
Many direct-market farmers face a unique challenge: they rarely have the opportunity to observe their beef alongside others, making it difficult to gauge quality and yield. To address this issue and empower farmers with the knowledge to maximize both, AAMP Processor Member This Old Farm is proud to host the G&Y Seminar on March 21st from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

This seminar is a must-attend for both beginning and seasoned farmers engaged in direct marketing beef. Understanding the nuances of beef grading and maximizing yield is crucial for success in the direct-to-consumer market, and this event promises invaluable insights.

One of the highlights of the seminar is the partnership with Purdue University, renowned for its expertise in agricultural education and research. Purdue's involvement ensures that attendees will receive top-tier training on beef grading and yields, equipping them with the knowledge needed to enhance the quality and profitability of their operations.

"We're thrilled to collaborate with Purdue University to bring this essential training to our farming community," said Daley Davenport, General Manager of This Old Farm. "By understanding grading and maximizing yields, farmers can elevate the quality of their beef products and better serve their customers."

Funded in part by the Beginning Farmer Rancher Development Program, this seminar underscores a commitment to supporting the next generation of farmers. By providing accessible training and resources, This Old Farm aims to empower farmers to thrive in the competitive direct marketing landscape.

The G&Y Seminar will be held at This Old Farm's facilities located at 9572 W Co Rd 650 S, Colfax, IN 46035. Farmers interested in enhancing their understanding of beef grading and yields are encouraged to register early to secure their spot.
