At its meeting, the Governing Council of the Bulgarian National Bank decided to implement the updated version of the SSM Supervisory Manual in its supervisory activities as of 29 March 2024. The decision was made based on Article 16, item 21 of the Law on the Bulgarian National Bank. The update of the Manual aims to reflect the reorganisation in Banking Supervision at the European Central Bank (ECB) after 2019.

The document has been approved by the ECB Supervisory Board on 18 December 2023 and published on 9 February 2024.
