Natalie Stoner Named Valedictorian of Wheeling University Class of 2024

WHEELING, W.Va., April 25 - Bellaire, Ohio native Natalie Stoner, who compiled the highest-grade point average among her peers, will be the valedictorian of Wheeling University's Class of 2024.

Stoner will give the valedictory address during Wheeling University's 66th Commencement set for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 4, inside the Alma Grace McDonough Center. During the ceremony, the University will confer doctoral, master's and bachelor's degree to members of the 2024 graduating class.

An Elementary Education major, Stoner is a member of the Cardinal softball team and serves as a mentor with the Help Enrich Someone Special (HESS) program.

Stoner, the daughter or Rodney and April Stoner, is still undecided on her plans following graduation. She will pursue a career in teaching or pursue a master's degree at Wheeling University in Education Leadership.

Anna Florczak of Indianapolis, Indiana, is the Class of 2024 Salutation for earning the second highest grade point average in the class. An Exercise Science major, Florczak is a member of the women's softball team. She will offer remarks during the Honors Convocation, which will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 2, in Troy Theater.

She is the daughter of Jeff and Teresa Florczak of Indianapolis.

Wheeling's Commencement exercises will be livestreamed this year. A link can be found on the University's website the day of the event.
