The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities' staff and educational leaders from the United States are in Spain from April 15-19, 2024, visiting locations in Madrid, Basque Country, and Valladolid. This initiative, organized in collaboration between HACU, the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE) and the U.S. Embassy in Spain, seeks to strengthen educational ties between the two countries.
During the week of the visit, three working sessions will be held for the creation of networks with educational centers in the Autonomous Communities visited. The main objectives of these sessions are to promote the establishment of contacts that may lead to the signing of collaboration agreements between institutions in both countries, the development of research projects and the exchange of students and teaching staff.
Approximately 14 faculty, staff and administrators from the following HACU-member institutions will be part of the academic trip that include visits to Tknika, Centre for Research and Applied Innovation in the Basque System of Vocational Education and Training, the Leioa School of Hotel and Restaurant Management, and IES La Paloma:

Following the visits, a meeting with Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be held at Plaza Marqués de Salamanca in Madrid.
