Congressman Cohen Supports Goals of Select Committee on the January 6 Insurrection

WASHINGTON - Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), who was in the House Chamber Gallery when the rioters invaded the U.S. Capitol on January 6, fully supports the efforts of the Select Committee looking into the attack.

Congressman Cohen's statement from the gallery that day has received renewed attention since Tuesday's initial hearing of the Select Committee. He can be heard shouting in this clip: 'Call Trump. Tell him to call off his Revolutionary Guard. Call Trump, your friend! Call your friend and tell him to do something!'

Congressman Cohen made this statement today:

'On that afternoon, as the attack was occurring, and before I donned my gas mask, I made it clear I knew then what I know now: It was all Donald J. Trump's doing.'
