Southeastern students attend Women in Aviation International Conference

The Southeastern Oklahoma State University Aviation Sciences Institute's chapter of Women in Aviation recently attended the 35th Annual Women in Aviation International Conference in Orlando, Fla., over Spring Break.

Led by faculty mentor Cassie Hill, 15 students were able to travel to the conference, which included seminars on mentorship development, professional development, event planning, networking, and leadership. Attendees were able to hear keynote speakers from Rainbow Helicopters, Google Research's Applied Science Division, the Federal Aviation Administration, Boeing Research & Technology, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the National Aeronautic and Space Administration (NASA).

Topics, exhibitors, and career opportunities were wide-ranging, allowing all students to continue down their path of interest. Southeastern students attending the conference were Tatiana Beach, Danilynn Brown, Landon Clark, Audrey Conard, Colby Hotaling, Hope Johnson, Micah Koen, Tarique Lyons, Annika Mortensen, Damian Ramirez, Sydney Reardon, Garett Stocking, Hannah Stout, Luke Weigel, and Marie Williams.
