PX index keeps growing, driven by Komercni banka, Moneta

Prague, Dec 28 (CTK) - The Prague Stock Exchange (BCPP) continued to rise today, the headline PX index adding 0.25 percent to 1,409.99 points, driven mainly by the shares of Komercni banka and Moneta Money Bank, while energy group CEZ lost ground, according to data on the bourse's website.

Komercni banka rose by 0.98 percent to Kc724.50 while Moneta Money Bank gained 0.32 percent to Kc93.20.

Austria's Erste Group Bank, on the other hand, closed in the red, writing off 0.11 percent to Kc901.90. "It suffered a slight loss along with the European financial sector," said Fio banka analyst Martin Singer.

CEZ was the most traded listing of the day. Its shares weakened by 0.58 percent to Kc947.

Arms maker Colt CZ lost 0.37 percent to Kc535. Slovak industrial company Gevorkyan, which moved to the main market of the Prague Stock Exchange last week, also fared poorly, erasing 2.16 percent to Kc272.
