Mesa County - The Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor Morton Electric will begin work on Monday, April 22 on installing new traffic signals at three locations in Grand Junction. The new traffic signals will be installed along US Highway 6/North Avenue at the end of April. New signals will be located at:
Crews will begin drilling caissons at the North Avenue and 5th Street location. Caisson drilling will then move to the 23rd Street location and then on to 28 Road. Once complete, the project will have upgraded the current signals at each location as well as constructed ADA ramp improvements.
